What has Happened: Israel has commenced “limited” ground operations targeting Hezbollah military infrastructure close to the Israel-Lebanon border. According to the IDF, the initial targets were “located in villages close to the border and posed an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel.” Over the weekend, it was reported that Israel had launched raids led by special operations forces into southern Lebanon to gather intelligence and probe Hezbollah capabilities.
